The Surroundings

With no neighbours in any direction, the Hunting Lodge sits quietly in a valley all by itself, greedily soaking up the fresh air provided by verdant woodland all around.    If ever a house was happily situated, this is it!  While enjoying a palpable sense of being far removed from anywhere, it is nonetheless easily accessible from everywhere!  Located just 1 mile from pretty Woodenbridge village, 6 miles from Arklow town and 6.5 miles from the motorway to Dublin, it is within easy travel time of 1 hour to Dublin city, 1 hour and 15 minutes to Dublin airport, and 1 hour and 10 minutes to Rosslare Harbour.

Transfers to and from the airport can be arranged on request. The Hunting Lodge is also very happy to welcome guests arriving by helicopter.

Woodland walks surround you in every direction. Numerous mountain trails and hiking are within easy reach.

Fishing can be enjoyed in a number of locations within the vicinity, including in the Hunting Lodge’s garden where two small rivers meet and continue on through the grounds providing a wonderful private amenity for residents.

Clay-pigeon shooting can be arranged onsite with our shooting instructor.

Deer-stalking in the surrounding valley can also be arranged with local experts.

Horseriding is available within the locality.

We are surrounded by a number of notable golf courses including Woodenbridge Golf Course which is 1 mile away, Macreddin Golf Course, and the European Club.
